Breast fed babies have a valuable source of antibodies given to them to fight off infections. The mother passes on many of her immunities. These usually last for three months once breast feeding is stopped.

Your babies facial and jaw muscles are enhanced by breastfeeding.
The breast milk can help to protect your baby from allergic reactions like asthma and ecezema
And almost most importantly, breastfeeding gives you and your baby a chance to bond ö it a source of close comfort and closeness.
