Use kinesiology to test your muscles
Food, as we know, can be positively good for us (called
Biogenic), it can be problematic (
Biocidic), or it can be neutral (
Biostatic). Some indications are clear cut and known to us already: e.g. bloating, digestive disturbances,
skin reactions etc. Other indications can be much more subtle and affect our energy balance almost 'pre-physically'; we know we are out of sorts. Unfortunately, sometimes we really enjoy a food yet suffer while indulging in that pleasure. However it may not all be bad news - Kinesiology can help.
Kinesiology can strengthen our body reaction system, balance our energy and in some cases identify specific digestive aids to help. Sometimes the problem food or substance need only be avoided whilst the body restores its natural tolerance and balance.
What is Kinesiology?
In medical science it is the study of muscles and the movement of the body. Over the last forty years
Kinesiology has developed into a system of applying gentle muscle testing to assess and
balance the body and
energy levels.
What happens during a food sensitivity testing session?
Firstly, detailed notes will be taken of any known or suspected intolerances. Then you will receive an
energy balance treatment. This will ensure that the body is giving reliable information and answers. Then your reaction to a standard set of 140-150 food/
nutrition substances will be monitored. You are invited to bring along any specific products of your own that you wish to test. Common foods that cause sensitivity reactions include
- Coffee, Colas, chocolate and black tea.
- Nightshade family of foods including - tomatoes, peppers, aubergine, potatoes.
- Dairy products and eggs.
- Spices sugars and salt.
- Mayonnaise (kind and type may be significant).
- Meats (kind and type may be significant).
- Breads and grains.
How many sessions will I need?
Sometimes one session of 70-90 minutes is all that is needed. Occasionally two sessions, typically 7-10 days apart will be needed to complete the assessment. It is however advisable to have a recheck at one month and three months after the initial session to evaluate the body's reaction system.
