Thai Yoga Massage

Thai Yoga massage is a form of healing that works primarily on the ‘energy body’ to release blockages within our energy channels. The practitioner uses a combination of palming, thumbing and yoga stretches to facilitate energy flow. This increases the body’s natural healing potential and good health can be restored.

Thai Yoga massage enhances our general state of health and improves energy levels. It can alleviate conditions such as:
  • stiffness in the body
  • multiple sclerosis
  • stress
  • anxiety
  • general fatigue
  • back, and shoulder problems.
  • It is also a safe and beneficial treat in pregnancy.

Holistic Swedish Massage

A fully body massage can promote a sense of renewed energy and invigoration, whilst at the same time leaving one feeling more calm and relaxed, with a deep sense of wellbeing, both in body and mind.

The treatment takes place with the client lying down on a massage couch, undressed and covered with towels. Only the part of the body being directly treated is uncovered at any time. Usually, organic oils (sweet almond or grape-seed) are used, although those clients with conditions such as contact dermatitis may be massaged with a non-allergenic cream. A fully explanation of the massage sequence is given at the first session, as part of the initial consultation.

Holistic Massage

Massage is a form of tissue manipulation which has evolved over 4000 years. The term 'holistic' comes from the Greek word 'holos' meaning whole. The holistic approach takes into account the person's whole being, and not just the physical symptoms or problems. Treatment thus takes into account the effect on the body arising from psychology, environment and nutrition. Holistic massage thus treats each person individually in the context of their own life. The treatment enables the person to improve their health and re-establish their body's natural equilibrium, known as homeostasis.
