Aromatherapy with a littel forrest scent

Aromatherapy with a littel forrest scentNow when people think of pine, they think of those cheap smelly kitchen cleaners but real pine oil is nothing like that. The aroma is a crisp clean smell and the Scots pine needle oil is the safest of all to use (Pinus sylvestris). Now the first thing about it is it is anti just about everything – antiseptic, antiviral, bactericidal, antimicrobial, insecticidal and so on and so forth, so a few drops on your dishcloth to wipe the surfaces, and in your washing-up water will keep your kitchen safe and make it smell wonderful. Sprinkle on bedding and mattresses and it will repel lice, fleas and all those beasties that we hate too (handy for hols). However, there is much more to pine oil than that. All those anti uses above make it excellent for asthma, colds, coughs, flu and bronchitis whether adding it to the bath with Niaouli, thyme or tea tree, or with lemon, cajeput or eucalyptus to a carrier for massage. It makes excellent inhaling oil for blocked sinuses and catarrh, whether in the vaporiser, steam or a tissue. However, did you also know it was excellent for muscular aches and pains, poor circulation, neuralgia, arthritis and rheumatism – no, didn’t think so, and its uses for fatigue, exhaustion and stress…and it helps with excessive perspiration and relieves cystitis!!
